Alberta Broadband Networks is actively building the fibre infrastructure in rural Alberta communities. These communities currently include the Town of Vermilion, the City of Beaumont, and Sherwood Park, an urban area within Strathcona County, with others being added to the network soon!
The newly installed fibre network will improve internet speeds for subscribers in these areas. The network provides a complete service to customers via a Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP) solution.
Our sustainable development goals (SDG) include providing local opportunities in each rural community. Alberta Broadband Networks has engaged local contractors to install fibre drops to residential and commercial properties when customers sign up with our internet service provider, Primus.
